PAR TEE FORE A CURE
There has been a change in the composition of the organizing committee. Catherine & Don Wilson have decided to take a break. We sincerely thank them for their creativity, energy and efforts to make this event a success over the last 6 years.
Coming on board are Kathy & John Radmore and Debbie & Pat Fitzgerald. They have already had a great impact on our event planning for this year.
2010 Tournament
We are extremely fortunate and thrilled to announce that this year’s event will again be held at the Carleton Golf & Yacht Club!
The tournament will take place on Sunday June 27, 2010. Check out the Event Schedule page for all of the details. The Registration form can be printed from the Registration page. We encourage you to register sooner rather than later!
New Event for 2010
We are organizing a new FUNdraising event this year which is also being hosted at the Carleton Golf & Yacht Club. Keep checking our website for more news and information.
Donation
This year's funds will be directed to Dr. John Bell and his research team through the Ottawa Regional Cancer Foundation. We are still working on arrangements for Dr. Bell to give us an update.
Ottawa Regional Cancer Foundation Telethon
We presented our cheque in the amount of $45,000.00 from the 2009 event to Dr. Bell at the Ottawa Regional Cancer Foundation's annual telethon which took place on Sunday January 17, 2010. www.ottawacancer.ca
Silent Auction
We are going to try something a little different this year for the Silent Auction. You will notice that there is a Silent Auction button.. As we start to accumulate items for the auction we will post pictures of them on the website. If you want to bid early or if you want to bid, but are unable to attend our event, send us an email with your maximum bid and we will enter it on a bid sheet on the day of the event.
PAR TEE FORE A CURE supports the efforts of OneMatch which is the organization responsible for finding and matching volunteer donors with patients requiring stem cell
transplants. Fewer than 30% of patients requiring a transplant find a donor within their family, the remaining 70% rely on unrelated donors. Please check their website and consider adding your name to the database of potential donors.
